Landing pages for jewelry brands
Jewelry is bought for the look, so the page has to show it on a person and keep the price and the button within reach.
People do not buy a ring for its description. They buy the feeling of how it will look on their own hand. A white card with a ring on an empty background does not give that feeling, which is why most jewelry shops look alike and compete on price.
We build the first screen around the piece worn by a real person, then put the product card, the price and the button right next to it. The way from “I like it” to the product takes one click, so the impulse does not cool down.
How we build it
The brand gets a face
The name, the photo and the product work as one picture instead of competing for attention.
Price and button on the first screen
The buyer never has to open a catalogue to find out what the piece costs.
A calm phone version
On a phone the photo stays the main thing and the product with its price moves under it.
In practice: Ambrel
A jewellery shop: the face of the brand and a ring with its price on the first screen
Task
People buy jewellery not for the description but for the feeling of how it will look on them. White cards with a ring on an empty background do not give that feeling, so jewellery shops end up looking alike.
We had to give the brand a face and still keep the purchase one click away.
Solution
The brand name takes almost the full width of the screen, and the woman wearing rings stands in front of the letters, so the brand and the person read as one. The deep burgundy background makes the gold brighter.
The card of the Sol ring with its price lies right on the first screen, with a button next to it. The caption “Every piece is made to be worn every day, not kept in a box” explains what the jewellery is for and repeats the idea of the brand.
What was hard
A large name and a photo of a person can easily hide the product, and in a jewellery shop the jewellery is what matters most.
The first screen holds a lot: the menu, the photo, captions, the price and the product card. It could have turned into a mess, especially on a phone.
How we solved it
The woman was cut out and placed in front of the letters, so the photo and the name work together instead of competing for attention. The product got a white card: on the burgundy background it is the lightest thing and pulls the eye.
A thin grid of lines keeps order, and every element sits in its own column. On a phone the photo stays the main thing, and the ring with its price moves under it.
